Dear VTCtalk users,
As some of you already know, we have recently moved servers – from windows to linux. This created a lot of problems which I’m sure will come as no surprise for you :glasses:
The server mitigation also brought along positive things such as increased stability, back up possibilities and easier management in general.
We have been debugging a lot, and we still are, so if anyone of you find any problems, bugs, annoyances or maybe you just have a suggestion for improvement, please let us know. You can post here, or send a PM to nordal.

The user titles are currently not as they were before. For example would a “Charter Member” have attached a small graphic badge saying “Charter Member” along with the basic user title saying for example “VTC Professional” or “Experienced Technician”. Although this is a minor issue and obviously not related to any functionality, we are working to fix this back to normal.

The email accounts that came with the Premium Member status are currently not available. We are working on transferring the old accounts (windows) to the new account on our linux server. If you are in urgent need of an old email, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. We acknowledge the problem for the users and as compensation, current Premium Members will receive one extra year of membership.
New Premium Members will not experience this problem as new accounts will be created on the new server.

I noticed that when I'm set up to receive email notifications I sometimes get too many. I.e. when someone post's in a thread that I'm subscribed to, I receive a whole bunch of emails rather than just one.
Does anyone else experience this also, or is it just me?
:cross-eye
OCT 5, 2005: It seems that others have experienced this. We are working to solve it, but for now I found out that it can be resolved by setting the "email notification" to "Instant" as the problems only seem to exist for the "Daily email notification" option.
