Aloha all!
Just wondering if anyone's tried this: DVC-2000 (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=302) and what the result of said trial is?

Hmm, didn't even think to look for that.
I did notice that it's only H.263. Wonder why they didn't implement H.264? You'd think that'd be a no-brainer.

The additional processing required for H.264 probably made it less cost effective for consumers. It does look like an interesting device for the home user. Lack of gatekeeper does suck, but apparently D-Link offers this service for free so E.164 addressing can still be used.

Maybe it is not so pleasantly for Tandberg and Polycom but Korean video terminals support H.323/SIP, H.264/G.729 coding plus many features that are absent in Tandberg or Polycom software including possibility to use telephone like web browser or receive SNMP email or use video mail. And cost of this video terminals ten times less than Tandberg or Polycom endpoints.
