I'm not real familliar with this codec and have an installation in progress.

I have only composite video connections for the camera(s), can I use the document camera input reliably or will this be a PITA in the long run.

Also, I have the Presenter package and it seems that the PC's picture is squeezed vertically. I am running the system through a 16:9 display at 1366x768 and I believe I have correctly setup the codec for widescreen and VGA set to Main with one monitor.

one more, am I reading the manual correctly that you can be presenting a pc and also have face to face contact with the far end (large PC image on the left and multiple far site windows on the right or 5+1?) WITHOUT DuoVideo? Or is that what DuoVideo is...

Sorry if the questions seem basic, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Get some Composite to SVideo Adapters (RCA Female to SVid M)from a Video Supply House, and put them in the SVideo Inputs (1&2)

Make sure that the PC is set to output in Wide screen Format, as well, if you are accessing the codec config via Web Browser, go to the Endpoint Config Tab, General, then scroll down to VGA Monitor Format, and select 4:3 or 16:9. Sounds like you need 16:9.

You are correct, as long as you are in Multisite.

Hope this helps.

You can go direct to the Doc Cam input. I suggest changing 3 settings if you do so:
1) Admin Settings-->Video--> Video Name, change the Name
2) Admin Settings-->Video Quality--> Set the used input to Motion, otherwise it will be 15 fps versus 30 fps.
3) Admin Presentation--> Startup Video Source,

However, if you are using the Tandberg 3000 to control the camera directly, you need to go to the Main Cam video input. Unfortunately, video input for the Main Cam on the Tandberg 3000 is part of the camera data port. You will need a specialized cable, either from Tandberg or make it yourself.

You need DuoVideo, that is what DuoVideo is. It doesn't matter if you are in a MultiSite call.
