Is anyone posturing their organizations/customers to be DVS-II compliant? DVS-G is phasing out ISDN service and going to secure and unsecure IP videoconferencing only. I believe you can't even register an ISDN site anymore. I am trying to engineer a way to use 1 codec(Tandberg 6000 MXP) to conduct secure and unsecure ISDN and IP calls. I have the secure/unsecure ISDN portion down but am looking for a similar solution for the IP side. Thanks.

Rest assured that your Tandberg 6000 MXP will be DVSII compliant. The new architecture will be phased in for about 2 years and even after that there wil be secure/unsecure ISDN gateways available. The DVSII goals are to leverage standards based systems and not be reliant on any single manufacturer.
The DVSII compliance on the IP side will consist of a compatible network, either SIPRNET /NIPRNET or a dedicated IP VTC network connected to thid IP backbone and gatekeeper registration. The network will be locked down to not allow non registered (rogue) calls.
I believe the goal is for an orderly transfer of calls to the IP side and their should be plenty of support.

Shameless plug time :ponder: ......Joe, I think my organization has what you are looking for. We currently manufacture a switch which will take a single codec and switch it between Secure / Non-Secure over IP and ISDN. It is also DISA JITC and TEMPEST certified.
The name of the company is Criticom, Inc. www.criticom.com (http://www.criticom.com)
PM me if you wish and I can get you any information you need.
We also make a controller which automates the wiping of IP, address book, and buffer information when switching between modes. This means you do not have to manually wipe, then re-input your IP and address book information when switching between modes on the IP side. The controller currently works with the Tandberg MXP line and we should have support for Polycom in the near future.

That sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Do you have a product name or model #? Thanks.

It is Criticom's ISEC line of equipment:
VWS - Switch for Secure/Non Secure ISDN.
VWSIP - Switch for Secure/Non Secure IP.
CM-200 - Control module which interfaces to the VWS/VWSIP, toggle switch and Secure/Non Secure sign you can put in your room.
DI-366 - Dial isolator.
IP Domain Controller - For automated control over your codecs IP, buffer, and address information.
Feel free to send me your contact information at mdavis@criticom.com and I can get you some spec sheets. You can also call our account managers in our main office at (301) 306-0600.
