Tandberg 880 camera goes mental

Hello, I have a strange issue with my Tandberg 800's camera. It works fine most of the time, but occasionally it puts on a distorted picture: very dark with lots of lines running all directions. It can be seen on self-view monitor and by the receiving side. The system had to be restarted to fix it. I noticed that it occured when bright sunlight shined through the curtains, so I installed lightproof blinds and hoped to forget about the problem. However, today the camera did the same :(

Does it mean the camera is faulty, the codec, or something else? Any ideas?

If you've got a warranty on it, I'd bail on it. No sense risking that happening in a conference. I've had four 880's do that to me and so far that's been my only gripe with those models. I'm not sure what causes it but I haven't had the units long enough to truely troubleshoot with it. I've had them replaced as soon as possible since they were all busy rooms. Your problem seems to be the same as what I've seen, I guessed at that someone had dropped it off of the monitor or smacked the camera housing so maybe there is a loose connection in it somewhere.
