Hi all.

After some time I need your help again.
I'll have 2 T3000 mxp codecs connected to V.35 network.

Codec on one side will have 2 cameras connected over both RCA inputs. So no s-video is used.

I would like to program that codec to automatically transmit DuoVideo/H.239 (so both RCA inputs) when call is established.

I have no experience with API programming, so I hope you can help me with some guides.

I thank you in advance.

Keep on doing the good work!

Cedi

Do you want to send both (2) cameras output to send the other end is that correct?.

What is your budget and capabilities? You need SOMETHING to tell the system to do this. So you'll need a controller.. or a PC running a piece of software, etc.

Is pressing one button on the remote to start h.239 too much for the user?

Senthil: yes. two cameras, two RCA inputs on the codec; I need to send them as DuoVideo to the second location.

codecs will run non-stop; 24/7. If something goes wrong, the call has to be re-established as soon as possible, as video from both cameras is crucial and is being recorded.
I need "automatic" DuoVideo because there will be no person present at the location with 2 cameras. "The system administrator" will be present on the second (receiving) location.
That's why this is so important to me.
And the network is V.35.

As far as I know, API commands are meant for customizing the codec.

This API commands (program code) are uploaded into the codec, and they are executed when pre-set conditions occur. E.G.: When you receive a call --> start DuoVideo from RCA 1 and RCA 2 input.

Isn't that so?

No, they are a control interface.. you don't customize the system itself. You need something that will execute the commands TO the system under the conditions you want

For this type of application.. I would recommend you get a small controller from AMX or Crestron and program it into a loop to check the call status and reconnect if needed. This is something you should goto an integrator for.
