Anyone else watch this? It blows me away when they say their backlog is a good thing, when they basically missed their numbers and couldn't grow the business. Its obsurd to think they willingly created such a big backlog and in doing so miss their targets. What in the world were they booking that they couldn't ship? So much so that the backlog was nearlly 25% of their total revenue! It grew nearly 50% in a single quarter!
And when are they going to give up on this stupid pro-forma reporting.. and why aren't the investors saying 'enough!' with it. I can't believe the analysts in the call were more interested in ASPs dropping a whole .1 % rather then the fact sequentially and year to year the revenues SUCKED.
Has anyone been able to find a READABLE version of their financial statements that at the end of the press release? They are unreadable in the actual press release.. unreadable in the press call.. and I find it ironic the stream breaks down when he talks about GAAP vs Pro forma. Ironically I think for the first time they are relativly close this quarter. I finally found a READABLE version in their actual sec filings
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1010552/000119312505204111/dex991.htm
For anyone interested.
I wish they'd elaborate on all these 'intangibles' they mysteriously end up writing off 20 mil+ each year of. Shady stuff like this is why I sold my stock off and why I don't trade in individual companies anymore :(
