Hello, in my organization I'm working to set up an "architecture" of videoconference systems of the same brand, Tandberg of course.
My organization has several departments distribuited over the country (Italy), all IP connected on a wan with good bandwidth (from 20 MB to 6 MB).
We have bought the following Tandberg systems:
- nr. 2 IP/ISDN/MCU systems located in big rooms
- nr. 2 small group systems, IP only
- nr. 1 small group IP/ISDN system.
All are MXP systems.
My goal: to allow every internal system to communicate with every external IP/ISDN system in the simplest way.
So I planned to buy 1 Border Controller, 1 Gatekeeper and 1 ISDN Gateway, and place them respectively outside, inside and inside the firewall.
What do you think about this choice?
I've heard about the need to have another Gatekeeper outside the firewall, so that every system in the Net (also IP public systems) can connect to my systems. Is that true?
