I'm trying to figure out Visual Concert with a Polycom VSX 8000. In the past I have done graphics displays with the Tandberg 6000 Codec on a point to point connection with another Tandberg 6000 and it worked great. When I try to connect a VSX 8000 with a Tandberg 6000 I recieve a message "Distant end does not support this function". I have not had much time to dig into the VSX 8000 settings but I understand that it uses the H.239 standard and automatically sends people+content when selected. I am not sure what the distant end (Tandberg) settings where were set to or if it even supports H.239. Can anyone shead some light on this for me? Just trying to save myself a little time. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
As always thanks,
Tod Wolfe

There is a setting to enable H.239. It defaults to off. The Tandberg should be able to receive it. I have both here and the H.239 works.
On the web interface of the Polycom 8000:
Admin/Network/Call Preference/Call Preference and you should see the H.239 check box...

If it works to send a presentation between two Tandberg endpoints, then you might either have used Tandberg's older DuoVideo protocol or the ITU's H.239 - depending on the software version and settings.
H.239 was developed in cooperation between Polycom and Tandberg to make an ITU standard that builds upon their experiences with DuoVideo and People+Content.
In addition to enable H.239 in the VSX, you should also check if H.239 is enabled in the Tandberg: If it is a non-MXP, try "h239 auto" on telnet or look at the web page under System Configuration/Call Quality for the H.239 setting. For an MXP type "xConfiguration Conference H239: On" or look under Endpoint Configuration/Presentation.
Also you might want to verify that you have the latest software on the Tandberg (E5/B10) and the Polycom (v8.x.y).

Thanks for all of the input, I have tried everything posted, still no success. I am in the process of working this issue out with Polycom. I will let you know what I found out as soon as I resolve the issue.
