Hey folks, appreciate any hints on this area.

We get frequent requests to bridge in an AT&T managed teleconference line into a multisite VTC call. While we've figured out a clumbsy method to dial the teleconference from a regular phone extention and transfer that to the bridge, it's not the ideal solution.

We've just got the Audio+48/96 cards installed, so is there any method in the MGC manager to dial a series of access codes along with a phone number?

In order to start the conference directly from the bridge, I need the MGC to dial this:

1-866-555-5555 pause xxxxxxxx# pause *xxxx# pause 1

I thought I'd ask here before I put in a call to our service provider (ahem, ahem...mike)

any help is appreciated.

I'm a dunce when it comes to the MGC configuration, but I saw something in another post stating that IVR would need to be implemented to dial DTMF.

Am I on the right track?

With the Audio+ card, your MGC has the capability of outpulsing DTMF tones to a site after connection. You need to define an IVR Message Service and in the conference SETTINGS, specify MSG SERVICE type of IVR and the MSG SERVICE NAME of the service you created.

Then, for the site(s) which need to have these tones entered, the PARTICIPANT NAME in your conference has a format for entering the 'extension digits' needed to outpulse. The format is 'sitename [EXT:1234#]' for outpulsing 1234# after connecting the audio channel.

This is all described in the MGC user/admin manuals available in the Polycom Resource Center.

In your participant list for that audio line, in the dial number put a semi colon after the number, after the extension, etc. The semi colon will act as the pause
