Anybody know if Tandberg plans on supporting H264 on their MCU's where you can't use it now?
I believe that you can only use H264 when Voice Switched without DuoVideo. I assume that this is a processing power issue, but it would be so nice if I could use H264 while using Enhanced CP with Duo Video.

you can do both. h.264 and duo video.
The original TANDBERG MCU can only do it for one conference, while the newer one can do it for all conferences.

Is this a hardware or software upgrade?

there are two MCUs from tandberg. The MCU and the MPS. different products.
the MCU can do h264 and duovideo. But the older tandberg endpoints don't send h264 when doing duovideo (I think the newer ones can.. I don't know.. I never bother to look). Maybe that's what you are referring to?

The classics send H.263 on the main stream when doing H.239 or DuoVideo. The MXP units can send H.264 on the main stream when doing H.239 or Duovideo.

Whenever I do DuoVideo all streams are sent H263. I am only using MXP codecs for this test (2 770MXPs)
Video Out 320.0 kbps H263+ SIF / 160.0 kbps H263+ SIF
DuoVideo Out 160.0 kbps H263+ CIF
Is there another upgrade that has to be done?
Software Version D3.7
Hardware Serial Number 28A01***
Installed Options 16 + 16, IP + ISDN, Advanced Video
