I have a VSX8000 using 4 BRIs. When I call out to my MGC I cannot get all the channels. It appears to call out on all B channels but will not bond. Any advice?
Also, when I call into these BRIs from a PRI on my MGC-100 it will not clearly identify all the phone#s. Any ideas would be great. :thumbdown

Have you contacted Polycom Tech support about it ? I have heard of some ISDN issues. I'd give them a buzz and open up a ticket.

Have you tried restricted rate (56K) calls? Could be you are not getting clear channels (64K) from the network for your calls. Where are the BRI's provisioned from? Whatever it is, it is probably not set up for delivery of ANI.

Thanks for the input. The system will not dail out at any rate above 64k. Not sure about the switch and I am checking into the ISDN provisioning.

did u try any other endpoint to point to point connection instead of MGC and if you get the same result the problem with telco.
What switch type of ISDN connectivity you have? if you provide the info you can find out the isdn numbers.

It may be worth as a test disabling the MGC's downspeeding config, I have had issues with the MGC call timers invoking even though no downspeeding is actually requried between the carriers or endpoints.
Disabling the downspeeding with the MGC config resolved the issue I had.

How might you disable the downspeeding in a Polycom VSX 3000 and a Tandberg 6000 Classic? I have the same problem, only I can't find the menus to disable. Please help...
Thank you

Make sure your telephone switch is capable of bonding more than 6 BRI channels.
Make sure the VTC you are calling has the same number of channels as you are trying to send. Most are only 3 ISDN lines with 6 B channels.
Make sure the SPIDS are correct and in the correct format. Too many or not enough digits on the SPIDs for ALL channels will give this same symptom.
Hope this helps!
