Polycom VSX8000 Rebooting

I have a Polycom VSX 8000 that reboots in the middle of a Secure or Unsecure call (KIV-19A). I am using BRI and IP. The 8000 has the new firmware (8.03). Polycom has sent out three fixes but the problem has not been solved. Got any ideas?

Boots can happen for a number of reasons and can be a result of a specific environment. Your best bet is to work with Polycom to identify the issue. Anything we would post would be nothing more than guesses without proper diagnostics/logs etc.

U Can Try To Plug Out The Isdn Lines Out ,and If The System With Gk Unregister It And See What Happens, U Can Try Also Shatdown The System And Plug Out The Quad Bri Out And Plug It In ,and Power Up The Sys.

We are having the same issue using 8.0. Were you able to resolve your issue?

Are you using Polycom Powercams? I was using SONY EVI-D100s and the system would reboot whenever I would move the cameras. I also experience an occasional reboot if there is alot of traffic on the network. I am running 8.0

I’ve got two 8000 units running 8.03 with the Power Cam and I’ve not seen this on either of them. You might check to see if the units are getting too hot, I know the 4000 units had this problem. They would get hot and reboot. The problem eventually gets bad enough that they won’t come up at all.

may be bad unit.

had one a few months back. kept rebooting (front panel green light would flicker). if u r under maintenance, get a replacement codec from Polycom.
