VSX 7000 IMUX blowing up

Dear All,

I need some information about the VSX 7000 QBRI Module blowing up.Has anyone come across any such issues.The ISDN lines are terminated through an NT Box.When i say blowing up it means it goes faulty.I am from India and this particular problem is happening only in certain part of India.Does this malfunctioning and QBRI going faulty have anything to do with the Voltage levels in the ISDN lines and if yes then suggest some solution to it

This is the problem of Voltage leak or Stability of the isdn line. Make sure telco is configured properly and its active and find some information about the ISDN line.Like distance between your place and telco,voltage of the line and may be check the NT. If not solve send a mail to me @ skumar@parkimpexinc.com.I will guide you to sort this probelm.

Hii This Satya from India, my self i faced 3times these kind of VSX-7000 IMUX Blowup, i opened and tested the CKt of the Imux the Total Ckt got burned , i'm suspecting this problem with Natural Thunder & Lighting Effect. the reason why i'm saying these problems are come only when climate in bad condition (now in India all most all part covering with full of rains with thunder and lightnings, yesterday i attended one complaint Imux gone bad).

Any one is having any Idea how to stop these kind of Problems and any protective steps need to take

Please help and kindly give me your ideas.

I have more then 80 clients in india using polycom systems more then 3 years. I didn't get this kind of call from my clients.But how do u suspect the problem is lightning affected and its blowing up did u test the imux with any other ISDN lines or did any other testing?.

this problem happening with only VSX-7000/s/a series only not with VS series, as per my investigation these problem are happening only after Heavy rains like thunder and lightinings only. at that time some of NTs also gone bad.

Hiiii,

In that case:-
Replace ur brick with another one and see if same problem is coming.
Secondly check whether the brick is correctly inserted in the woofer.
If not also check the protocols u have configured.
Otherwise u can do call ur ISDN vendor tell him to come with ISDN phone he will check the lines if lines are up and still the problem persists then check ur VC equipment.
