Does anybody here work for tandberg,
I need a release key for my tandberg 3000 mxp,
Tandberg don't know who has my contract, as it was shipped over from the usa, and tandberg ireland are closed until after the new year, and i need to make a call urgently,
I hope i'm not breaking any forum rules by asking this, if i am please correct my post.

The release keys are tied to the serial numbers of the units, so the only way to get one is through Tandberg. Resellers have access to the key generator online, but if the codec is out of service you cannot get the key. Have you talked to anyone at Tandberg USA? They should have your serial number on record and can generate a release key. The number for Tandberg support is 1-866-826-3237.
You may also be able to go through your reseller if you have one. I can check the serial number if you wish to see if it is valid, but I can't generate a release key if it is not. Only Tandberg has that power.

call the helpdesk in the states. They should be able to help you given the circumstances I would hope.

can you check which reseller it was purchased from, as our sister company which bought it originally is no longer in existance, so i've got no clue to has the service contract, i'm making a new ocntract with tandberg ireland after the new year

Only Tandberg or the original reseller can see info about a codec. Other resellers cant get info about who has sold the unit or access releasekey information, unless they own the contract or have sold the unit.
Sorry, but the only option you have is to contact Tandberg directly if you don't know the reseller.

Robert is right. I just looked up the system by the serial number you gave me and it says "system not found". It looks like you will have to give Tandberg a call.

I tried giving them a call and they don't know either,
I wonder if i'm giving ye and tandberg the wrong serial, i got that one out of its inbuilt webserver.

The serial from the web server should match the sticker on the back.

Yeah, i just checked it does,
I suppose i'll have to open a new contract, how much should this set me back, i wonder. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
We've already, paid 5000 dollars for shipping it over here, and we could have got it for around 100 dollars if they didn't send us the trolley and tv's etc etc. :angry: :angry: :angry:

One of my Tandberg contacts just looked up your information and you are covered so don't worry about a new contract at this time. PM me with your email address so I can send you the information on your codec.
Why can't I get this kind of customer service from the cable company? Thanks for helping out Tandberg!!!
