Here's the thing, when I'm videoconferencing, what will happen when I:
1. block port 1503
2. block port 1720
3. block port 1731
4. disable dynamic ports

I sort of know what every port is, like
Port 1503 - T.120 (TCP)
Port 1720 - H.323 call setup (TCP)
Port 1731 - Audio call control (TCP)
The problem is I can't test this anymore since we don't have a router anymore, but I need to know this for my school, I just want to know what the consequences are when u do these steps. Or what u will observe when blocking these ports.

Thanks for any replies, really!!

blocking ports means simply denied the request from the outside request concern ports.Suppose if you block the port 1503 in your network. if the other end point try to establish T.120 to your endpoint. Your endpoint will not receive the T.120 request.

And what about the dynamic ports?
What will this do if I disable it?

Well by blocking dynamic ports you may block the RTP streams which can result in the call control and negotiation failing totally resulting in a 64 K call only. This is what i roughly kknow aabout. Some experienced guys can confirm if that is right
