Just saw a clip of the president's visit to Iraq and the on screen mute icon looked very Tandberg like. The quality looked low bandwidth.

Sorry, I saw it on live TV not their website, it was when the story was just breaking and they have been showing "new video" since.

I've seen pictures of what looked like an 8000 in a room with a bunch of cabinet members when Bush was in Texas or something so it wouldn't surprise me.

When I was in the millitary, we connected to white house comms using polycom equipment.

I know that on our systems we connect to the white house using tandberg, but it's on the JWICS side which is TS/SCI so it wouldn't be on the news anywhere. I do know that the folks where I work that take care of the unclassified calls also use tandberg though.

I just returned from Iraq and we used Aethra and Tandberg equipment over there, mostly Aethra. If it was on the JWICS side I couldn't say what they are using.

Welcome back from Iraq. Former username ceg6vtc and general pain in the rear from Fallujah here. It's good to hear that you made it home safely and didn't go to MNC-I prison

Hey Live Oak, Bold Eagle, Fallujah
how have you been? Sorry it took so long to respond to you, I have been really busy at the new job. I am the Multi Media Support Program Manager for the Government. It's another contractor position. If you are getting out anytime soon send me your resume, my company is always looking for good people.

That was actually my "forward" site where that broadcast originated. They used a Polycom MCU with a Tandberg CODEC. That clip was actually coming through SIPR with UNCLAS data being transmitted. It had to go through security first. All other secure calls had to stop for this to even happen and the building was evacuated except for key personnel. WOW! Didn't realize anyone caught that...

We install a lot of DoD systems, they are almost all Tandberg now.
