Hi,
We have ISDN 30 coming into the building and into the panasonic Kx-TDA100 switch, inside the switch is a panasonic quad BRI card which supplies the Polycom with 4 channels of ISDN 2.
The problem.
The polycom can make video conference calls in and out via ip without any problem. It can also make outgoing calls over ISDN without any hitch. The porblem is it cannot receive an incoming call. Spent many many hours talking to Direct Visuals who provide the technical support in the UK. We have even tried swapping out the polycom unit for another VSX7000 which did not work.
however when we connected a Sony VC unit to the system it received incoming VC calls over ISDN without any problems, indicating the problem lies with a compatability issue between the polycom and the panasonic switch/bri card in the way in which the panasonic presents the incoming call to the polycom VC.
With no forseable outcome from either the supplier of the VC equipment, direct visuals or my telecoms company I am turning to the web for help.
Any Ideas?
