Hi,

Im wondering if anyone can help with and Audio issue i have been having between 2 VSX 7000e's.
Intermitently the audio stops working when the call is connected over IP however ISDN is fine.
Both units have VTX 1000's as the mic's and the problem is not consistent .

I find if you re-boot the far site machine all is fine again for a while.

The machine is a brand new replacement so im not sure if it is a harware or software issue.

All sites have the latest version of the polycom software on them as well.

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks

i am wondering why you have considered connecting the VTX 1000 and what advantages you feel this will bring to your conference?

One advantage would be that if you had a site that does not have Video capabilites, the Vtx will still allow them to participate in the Video Conference as if they did have video capabilities. They would here the audio clearly and have the ability to talk as if they were in the same room.

We have had issues with the VTX1000 with our CODECs and also on a bridged call. Have you looked at other options as far as connecting an audio site. The audio CODEC used and also stereo are not a requirement for good audio.
