View Full Version : Need Video Conferencing Setup - Please help

I am an IT guy with a very little telecom experience plus no experience in video conferencing. Our small company has two offices one in USA and another in India. They want me to setup a network for video conferencing within a reasonable budget. We have T1 wireless line provided by Covad wireless for data network and analog phone lines for voice.

Can you please guide me what kind of solution is possible for the above requirement and what equipments we need to setup the whole network for video conferencing.

A forum is probably not the best, ahem, forum, to get a reasonable answer to this question. I'd recommend getting in touch with a sales channel to have some design/cost/expectation discussions.

There are many options. Step ones would be making sure you're current wireless T1's can even handle say a single 384k call. Usually a lot of latency and overhead on a wireless wan link...

You have mention about ur USA office and whats connectivity part in India and based on that you can choose endpoints.
Choice of connectivity
ISDN or IP
Endpoint
Hardware or Software based endpoint.
etc....
