Hey folks! It's been a while...

Many of you are familiar with www.vtctest.com (http://www.vtctest.com) (71.14.2.158). It's based on a Polycom VSX 7000 with a couple of PC's driving it. It's worked pretty well and we are averaging over 100 calls a day.

We have been working on a testing product that could be used without a full video conferencing endpoint.

Some of you have tried it, but I thought I would mention it in the forums. It's call Digital Video Loopback (the name will change in the future).

You can access it by dialing 71.14.2.154. It will give you a complete loop back of your call. Audio and video. Nothing really surprising EXCEPT this is being done completely with software (read, NO CODEC). The advantage here is that you "could" have this on your laptop and be able to test an installation without having to have a 2nd codec to test with.

Basically, we are reworking the packet headers and sending it back to you (there is a LOT more than that going on, but you get the idea).

There is a web page you can access to look at the call progression. It's functional (not really pretty). We are working on some graphs for packet loss, frame rate, etc. Those will come too.

We are limiting the calls to 384kb (I still only have 1mb of upspeed here since I'm paying for all this myself).

The call will last 30 seconds and then drop.

I'm including an image from the console (not to be confused with the webpage) to give you an idea of all the information we have.

We'd love to hear some feedback on this guy. Thoughts, ideas, etc.

Here's a screen capture of the console!

Thanks,
