Hey Guys,

We have an MGC 50 with version 7.5.1 and 4 PRI lines connected to it. From quite a few days now, we are facing the issue of users unable to dial in to the bridge. users saying even if they enter the right conf id, it kicks them out after 3 entries. On checking the CDRs we found that the conference ID was incomplete (E.g : if the conf id is 450489#, the CDR reflects only 489, 589 or some combination of the conference ID). We also checked with the traces of EPBX and also with the service provider. Traces showed the right ID's and the service provider says they are able to log in using the same passcode and hence, the configuration is rite on the switch.

Also, we noticed that users who reported the issue were all from one single region (3 neighboring states), rest all have no issues in logging in.

Really confused as to where the issue is. Any comments will definitely help

The users may be entering the code too early. Have them wait until the prompt asking them for their conference ID stops playing entirely, then begin inputting the code. The IVR service sometimes has difficulty 'listening' if it's 'talking' at the same time.

We suspected that as well..and checked with the user..the user is entering it after the IVR stops..but still issue persists.. really suspicious if this is an issue with any particular models of PBX's..need to explore more though..

How are your traces (other than that of the MGC) showing what DTMF tones your callers are entering? Are these voice or video calls? Could be the channels being used from those particular areas are not getting clear 64K data channels and the data is being corrupted or a portion of the path has echo cancellers enabled/faulty.

We checked for the DTMF traces at the PBX level from where the user is dialing..and forgot to mention, we are facing issues with Audio Conferences alone.

What type/model of PBX are you using?

We have several offices, so the PBXs model may differ..Nortel and Avaya are the ones mainly installed in most sites.
