Best VC configuration

I want to setup video conferencing facilities to allow teams located in the UK to have effective meetings with teams located in India and Canada. I have never used VC before and my knowledge of the subject is at the MSN + webcam level.

I'm looking for advice on what would be the best configuration in terms of hardware, connectivity and management software.

Bit of an open-ended request I know but I'm sure there's the knowledge out there.

Where do you're users expect to VC from, a boardroom, their PC's, etc. Is there an in house network? Do all the offices need to talk to each other at once? Their are manyof options and things to consider...
