Polycom HDX Ceiling Mic array

Anyone using the Polycom HDX Ceiling Mic? I've always been leary about ceiling mics but I've been able to find na da on the web regarding a review of this product.
If you're using one, how well does it work? My fear is that it could sound far away. my room is acoustically GREAT... but just a bit aprehensive. Your thoughts?

While I have never used Polycom's array, I have used Tandberg's AudioScience mic quite extensively and been very pleased. I found the pickup to be very good and works well with Tandberg codecs to reduce ambient noise. I have also used them with ClearOne mixers but I found there to be a little more ambient noise getting through.

well, Polycom Array is as good as Tandberg, however i recommend you to judge environment as it picks the sound from any where due to its Hanging in the room nature.
