movi - error

Hi

I am having some trouble with movi, if I call from movi to movi the call works fine. The problem is if I call from movi to and Tandberg unit(MXP1700 in this case), what happens is immediately as the call is accepted by the 1700 movi(or InternetExplorer) reports an error."Following add-ons was running as this problem occurred:

Company name (not confirmed) Tandberg Telecom AS
Description: Movi enables video conference on PC"

And after a little while Internet Explorer 7.0 closes down.

It don’t matter if the MXP or the movi makes the call, the problem is the same.

I had a similar problem with Movi when I was building a lab to run it with Cisco IPIPGW and VCS. If you do not have anything else on the network (i.e. you have a proxing Gatekeeper) then I would only guess that this issue is caused by Internet Explorer. I would suggest that you put the two boxes onto the same subnet, ensure that nothing else is going to proxy the call, use a Vanilla build of Windows with Internet Exploda 6 and try again.

You could also try speaking to Tandberg to see if you can get your hands on one of the new beta's of Movi. During my Labs I spoke with Tandberg RnD and used a Beta/Alpha from them. The Movi client is different and it is a lot more functional. If you are not a VC professional I would suggest you speak to your Tandberg vendor to see if they can assist with this problem, ask them to try and get the latest Beta it should help.
