first off let me say that everyone on this forum has been a ton of help for the years. I have always refered to here, just never needed to post... until now.

Got an odd issue that I am trying to resolve. The situation is that I cannot access the codec via the web due to a password that is not set properly/forgotten.

The odd part is tha I am able to connect to the telnet session and enter in the password (which is TANDBERG), but when I attempt to connect to the system via the web, that password does not work.

I tried to reset the password using the telnet commands:

protect off
restrictpassword off
ippassword “password” (put whatever password you want in the quotation marks)

and that still is not able to fix the issues. Is there something silly that i am missing? Also, I have multiple systems I access from the same browser (I know it isnt supported, but I use IE7) and I can access them, just not this one. I am kinda lost here.

Any decent ideas as to how i could reset that password?

I think the previous suggests/links were good ones. Sounds like an IE config thing. If you are running IE7, put anything into the username field and then put your password in.

The fact that telnet works with your password, suggests you know your password and it is the web that is giving you heartache -- not sure if resetting your password is going to do anything there.

Check the IE7 thing, or even download Firefox to see if you can get into the codec that way.

I had encountered the issue you mentioned above previously. But once i installed up Mozila Firefox, the problem is fixed.

I have seen this issue as well. It is an IE issue. Downloading Mozzilla is a work around. You could also down grade to IE 6.
