Hello!

I have approx ten Tandberg VK-Systems today, 990MXP and Edge95MXP.

Now I need to buy some cheaper systems to a couple of places that dosen't have the money to invest in a bunch of Tandberg systems. Even Polycom is to expensive in this case. So i found VCON and their HD600 this seems to be priceworthy.
In this case I think its better to invest in some cheap products than not invest in any VK product at all.

But.... Is VCON functional or is it just a waste of money to buy this HD600 system?

Ofcource it has to work with our Tandberg Gatekeeper & Bordercontroler, and also with the existing VK-systems. But i don't think that it would be a problem.

Anyone here how has any experience of VCON and their products?

Hi.

I don't have experience with VCON products... but I doubt they will work with the Border Controler...
They should work with the gatekeeper.
VCON is certainly capable of communication with Tandberg systems, but the achieved quality probably isn't the same.

I suppose you checked the 550 mxp systems too. Could VCON really be so much lower-priced than 550? I'm sure there is the difference, but is it worth it?

T150 mxp is low-cost, but it is not "room system" which is probably what you're looking for.

Would be best to stick with integrated solution (one vendor). Especially when you already have Tandberg.
