Hello all,
I am experiencing some problems with VSX units locking up when running TMS version 11.8 with them. The VSX units are running v8.53 and 8.7, which are both supported by this version of TMS. Additionally, we talk to the units with a Creston over IP on port 24. It appears that the VC units become unresponsive after a while, and then the Crestron also eventually stops executing code, all the while just trying to bring up the TCP connection to the VC unit. Has anyone else experienced this?
Many thanks
Adam

Assuming that you are on a Corporate network...

Is your network security team running any port scanning applications to check for network vulnerabilities?

I have a somewhat similar issue with this. My Tandberg 6000 Classic codecs will lock up their Telnet port due to the security server repeatedly attempting to gain access to the unit. This often results in having to reboot the codec to clear the issue.

If you reboot your codec, does the issue resolve itself?

Yes, a hardware reboot will fix the problem. On rebooting the VSX, the Crestron will then perform a voluntary reboot and behave itself. I will check with our network team. However , the problem seems to be present only when the TMS system is actually making the units setup and tear down calls. When the units are simply idle in TMS, they seem to be ok.
Thanks for the post.
