I'm having a problem on my TMS. endpoints that are on different VLANs intermittently give the error no SNMP response. If i go and force a refresh they immediately start responding. The only thing on this network is VTC stuff so im thinking its a network issue, but its totally intermittent, so i cant imagine why it would not pass snmp one minute, and then do it the next. any ideas?

My TMS does this too, but only to certain VLAN's and only certain codecs on that VLAN. MY TMS is monitoring 45 codecs that are in the midwest, northeast, and southwest US.
For example, I have three codecs on the same switch, in its own VLAN. One of the units has intermittent SNMP failures, whereas the other two do not. All codecs are set up the same way. I have about four systems that do this out of the forty-five I monitor.

What type of codecs are they and what software rev are they running. Also what rev of TMS are you running?
I've noticed this with VSX's running various versions of 8.5

Mine are all Tandberg, 6000MXP's running F6.2. The same codecs have been doing it for sometime, regardless of the software rev.
I have a system that is on the same Cisco switch as two others ( they are all on the same floor), and I don't get any loss/regain messages from them. In fact, one of the units that is sending the messages is in a room right next door to the IDF.

mine that are losing it consist of a 3000 mxp, a 6000 mxp, and a couple edge 85s. they are running 6.3. my tms is 11.8? the latest one.....
im running a sniffer right now to rule out that its a network issue....

I am curious to know how you made out with the sniffer trace. We have the same issue with our TMS and endpoints. We have over 40 endpoints that are a mix of Edges, MXP 3000s, and older Polys. Only the Tberg endpoints display the SNMP issues.

i have given the logs to the network gurus to analyze them. i will keep you posted as to the results

the network guys determined that the snmp packets are being broadcast and think that may have something to do with the problem. i tried some different settings and such and thought i fixed it but after 1 week i had the error pop up again.
