Does anyone know a way on TCS to allocate space amounts to different users? This would save me from having one or two users taking up all the storage space form the others.....

There is no direct way to do this, so I posed the question to a few people internally to come up with a clever idea. Unfortunately, the answer is still no.
Here are some of the difficulties around your request:
1. How do you define a user? All the TCS really knows is a certain alias (e.164) was dialed and it answered. You can assign aliases to people or groups, but anyone can call that alias today. Who is the user? The person that calls in? Or the person/group that owns the alias?.
2. Scheduling: how would TMS know if there was enough quota available for the call ahead of time? Especially if #1 can't be solved.
3. Windows disk quota system: need to use it to do this, and right now Windows sees all aliases as the same so they are treated the same with access preferences. This means quotas wouldn't work.
Not an impossible thing for the future perhaps, but unfortunately not a simple feature to implement right now.
Until then, you can certainly use offboard storage which is effectively unlimited as long as you are willing to buy it.

Maybe you can limit the amount of time (conference start/end) that the users are allowed in a call to prevent recording a 4 hour long session... :ponder: ...

This can already be done today in S3. If you look at Admin Settings>Call Configurations, select edit on a call configuration and see Maximum Call Length (minutes). Then utilise this call configuration in your recording alias :)

Is the Tandberg Content Server similar in function to the codian? How does it differ?
Is the Tandberg Content Server going to be supported in the long term?
