Hello, Im rather new to this so my apologies if this seems either inept or obvious.
I am having trouble connecting a Video conference over ISDN.
My system is a Tandberg 6000MXP my counterpart is also using a Tanberg unit. We have previously connected sucessfully to 2 VC rooms at my counterparts site which have dedicated ISDN lines.
However last week we tried to make a connection and the result was silence a black screen "microphone off at other side" and "no incoming video" displayed at my site.
My conterpart tells me that the room I was trying to make a connection to did not have a dedicated ISDN line but rather was connected to a Polycom/Accord bridge ISDN server.
I would appreciate any thoughts on how I might troubleshoot this issue.
Thank You

Sounds like the bridge had the audio and video muted...

I will schedule another test later today.

Shawn's theory is very plausible JD. I've always encouraged customers to check their codecs connection state using the built-in diagnostics whenever possible. This is a big step in being able to effectively troubleshoot your endpoint before the hub or network gurus sing out 'it's on your end'...

What version software are you running on the Tandberg? 6.0?

Hi.
Im running F6.1 NTSC
However I just got an email from my counterpart to the effect that I should upgrade to F6.3 to counter possible inter-operability issues.

Are you connecting to an MGC Bridge?

If you have Call status on your VTC unit, open it up and look at the
Audio and Video formats and packets coming into your unit.

Thanks for all the feedback. We do appear to have reached a successful conclusion. After trying various strategies we found that disabling all Video/Audio algorithims bar the legacy H.261 & G.711 resulted in a successful connection.

If you would have had the chance to verify H221 to see if the Tandbergs are connecting at H264+++
