Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to reset a forgotten IP password on the Tandberg 1000 MXP via HyperTerminal and how to do this?

Thanks

Ryan

Try this:
if you log in using the comm port use the command "ippassword" followed by what you want the password to be.

ex. ippassword TANDBERG

will set it to the default password which is TANDBERG

the config file is "all.prm" and can be gotten through an ftp session
(THX White Buffalo!)

If you look in the "CODEC" section there will be a thread referring to your problem that has more info... (It's @ the 7th thread up from the bottom)

I tried that and even had a Tandberg Rep here and I am still waiting on hearing what they think it is.

IE 7.0 can cause problems when tying to log on the Tandberg. I use fire fox when IE 7.0 tells me wrong username/password when I now it is rigt , and it always work. I know that IE 7.0 can cause problems when logging on to web interfaces, thomson speedtouch modem is another example.

IE7 requires a username for authentication due to changes in IE security. TANDBERG endpoints do not have usernames, and only require passwords. So just make up a username (doesn't matter what you put in) and then put in the correct password and it should work.
