I have been trying to set up an h320 gateway to access a remote h320 terminal from my h323 endpoint. I'm using a Tandberg 6000 MXP for my h323 endpoint, and a c2621xm with nm-hd-2ve vwic-2mft-t1 for my h320 gateway / h323 gatekeeper. When I make a call from the h323 endpoint to the h320 endpoint, the call connects on the ISDN side at the gateway (h320p), but my h323 terminal continues to ring. It seems like the voip call leg is not being established. I've read several Cisco documents that state the 2621XM (with the NM's fitted) can provide h.320 functionality and provide b-channel aggregation for video calls. Anyway, i'm attaching my configs and some extra info in hopes that someone can help. I am using the same box for gateway and gatekeeper functionality. Also, I'm the telco provider (DMS-100)...so I can make adjustments on that side...although I don't think the telco is an issue since the BC is 64K unrestricted. I placed a video call to my telehphone, and I can answer it to get digital noise...but again, the tandberg keeps ringing. Thanks.

I was using a flunky loopback test number. I called an h320 terminal and it worked at 64K. I made some config changes and got it to mux 2 channels for 128K. Just for curiousity's sake, I set up two 6000 MXPs and registered them with the gatekeeper. I set up the dial-peers to route a call out through the gateway into the PSTN and back in to the other terminal h323 -> gateway -> PSTN -> gateway -> h323. All 6 channels bonded on both the incoming and outgoing call, and I connected at roughly 300K. I'm going to sack the 2621xm and try it on a 3745 with a newer IOS. This may fix the problem with my called number lists not utilizing the list entries beyond index 1.

Most telco loopback numbers will only support nX64 calls as the equipment may not be set to provide bonding. There are devices in place that can be programmed to provide bonding but it is not too common for them to be used in this way. Generally, loopback numbers are for just that, looping back what is received.
