Hopefully one fo you may have experienced a similar issue I'm experiencing. I have a Polycom VTX1000 connected to a VSX8000. When in an IP call I try to add analog audio to the conference and both parties claim they are only catching about every 4th word spoken. The analog line is on a Cisco VOIP network that converts VOIP back to "Analog". Any ideas?

Are you G711 or are you using Siren 14 for audio.

How are the two units connected?? I recommend connecting the analog line to the VSX 8000 then just add an audio call leaving out the 1000.
You could either be having a duplex or a cancellation problem.

I see no requirement to connect a VTX 1000 to a VSX. Unless you require Siren 14 at the other end. Rremember this is propriety to Polycom. There are also a number of issues if you are involving a MCU.
