Guys,
Any idea why my Polycom VS MP is seeing itself when speaking during the conference call? Thank you for any help.

Possibly the last speaker has a loopback turned on. What sort of conference is it? How many sites and what kind of video units are involved?

No Joe, even in point to point call it's happening...all units connecting with it are Polycom..We experience this just by now..

Is your configuration is set for dual monitor but you are only using one? What software version are you running? Does the room have a touch panel for controlling the video unit?

It is not on a dual monitor and we're just using a single display..The version of the software is 7.5. The room doesn't have any touch panel too. As i navigate the system configuration, i found out that the Multipoint mode has been disabled and the key code was removed so i couldn't re enable this option. I'm trying to search our records for the license key for this camera so that Polycom can provide me the key code thru their web. Do you think this might be the reason why..???

Can you get far-end video by pressing the FAR button on the Polycom remote? What about reloading the software?

yes, i can get the far end video. let me try reloading the software if this might solve the problem. thanks.
Interesting to hear about firmware reload did solve the issue or not.
Just for completing the questionnaire:
If the single monitor is connected to the VCR output (seen this with monitors having RCA jacks only) instead of Monitor1, one can choose to "record" near or far end in the VCR settings. Connecting a monitor that may introduce nice audio effects also by "recording" both near and far end audio.

Make sure you are plugged into monitor 1 and not the VCR video port. If you are plugged into the VCR anytime you speak, you will see yourself. Anytime anyone else speaks, you will see them.
