View Full Version : Tandberg Gateway
I have a Tandberg Gateway with the latest software version G3.2, I encounter problem when I want to establish multiple calls from a single endpoints out to a few ISDN endpoints, I am able to connect the first call, but the subsequence call was intermittent. I tried using different endpoints with MS capabilty, and the same problem arise, I am quite sure is the Gateway problem. Can someone out there try it out and let me know if the same thing happen as I do not have another Gateway to test, thanks.

I'll try that and let you know how it works out.

We regularly call from both MXP and VSX systems multi-point though our Tandberg GWs (3.2) and have very few problems doing that. The few calling problems for multi-point that we have had are generally due to our users dialing calls that require downspeeding (ex: 384K call placed to a site with a single ISDN line). It is a rare problem and I have yet to determine a pattern.
Another possibility is an overloaded GW from a bandwidth or processor standpoint. There is a table that explains the call capacities at certain call speeds of the GW in one of the GW manuals.

Are you dialing all calls at the same time (like you can do from an MXP) or do you make 1 call at a time (by dialing after it has connected to the first site). What call rate are these calls? What endpoints are being used to place the call as well as the recieving codecs?
Thanks,
Sean
