I have a customer that has pulled a Polycom VS512 and all it's parts out of a closet and has asked for us to setup. I am very well trained and up on the current VSX gear and ISDN connections. The unit inludes the NT3620 Quad/Triple NT1. When I apply power to it no lights come on immediately, however after a few seconds lamp "3" flashes quickly, but no power lamp. My immediate feeling is there is a defect in this device and it is not functioning correctly. Unfortunately I need it to convert the U delivery to S/T for the IMUX to process. I have been scouring over the net for a day or 2 now for a manual for this product with no luck, to validate the error code it appears to be flashing. I am starting to beleive (although there is a polycom logo on it) that it is a Sprint device. There is no manufacturer info on the unit other than it is an NT1, it has a NT3620 logo on front panel and a polycom logo on top. Anybody know what the code may be, or where I can get a manual? I do not want to sell them anything unless necessary.

We have two NT3620's, one older one newer. Are you sure you have the correct power supply (AM-9500 on the newer one)?

Plugging the power in, the power LED illuminates.

The Line Status LED will flash one time, then go off when first activated. If no U-interface the Line Status LED will not illuminate.

If the S/T-Interface is not activated, the Line Status LED will flash once per second.

If both S/T and U-interfaces are linked up the Line Status LED will stay illuminated.

As best I can tell it is correct. The power supply wire is wire tied to the clip on the back next to the power port so it cannot be separated from the NT3620. The power supply is rated at 48V, which according to the doc at the link you provided (THANK YOU !!!) is correct. The dip switches all appear to be set in manner that should work with out any problem.

At this point I am nearly 100% convinced the NT is defective since I never see the power lamp come on, although it is possible that it is burned out. I am sending a tech over this morning to go back over the connections to be sure they are correct.

Thank you for the information and link to the document.
