Hey everyone. I just installed some ceiling array mics to a vsx8000 unit. Initially they didn't work so I called Polycom and they stated I had to upgrade to at least 8.5.3. (There is no maintenance on that machine so that's as far as i could take it). Anyway the mics worked however now my system keeps going into sleep mode and its almost like its shutting itself down. I can't access via the web interface nor does it do anything when buttons are pushed on the remote. The only way to get anything is recycle the power. Which by no means is a good thing.

Has anyone out there had any problems with the 8.5.3 release? I know in the old days you had to upgrade Polycom units in stages do you think this could the case. I'm just reaching hear so any help anyone can provide would be a plus.

Thanks in advance

8.5.3 is much better than 8.0.3. 8.7.1 is better than 8.5.3.

Hi,
We also have upgraded our codecs to 8.5.3 and have the same kind of problem ("no http response"). We are on our way to downgrade our codecs back to 8.0.3.
Anyone else has the same problem ?
thanks

Herve-

Yesterday we re-ran the upgrade via the polycom upgrade sofware but unchecked all of the options except for "Erase Flash Memory" to completely blow the box out. We then rebooted the box to make sure that it had no OS and the ran the upgrafe to 8.5.3 and rebuilt the system and settings from scratch. We ran some test calls last night and today and with my fingers crossed i say "so far so good". I would give that a try before possible downgrading if you haven't done so already.

I never had any issues with 8.5.3, but presently we are using 8.7.1 FEB and and have to date no issues with our endpoints or MCU. Have you tried different versions of Browsers to connect?
