Lockheed Martin Enterprise Systems and Solutions-Professional Services is looking for an Audio Visual Design Engineer.

Duties to include:

AMX control system programmer (ACE Certified Programmer)
Knowledge of Designing and Configuring complex Audio Video Systems (large scale). Must be able to design system from start to finish. Control System programming a plus. Excellent Communication Skills.


Advise project managers and site technicians to ensure quality end-product results consistent with design intent.

Provide structural and MEP coordination; coordinate conduit & electrical requirements.

Review pre-construction design & documentation and assist with technical design & pricing for proposals, as needed.

Contribute to, review & approve system descriptions; responsible for job documentation as needed.

Identify all cabling & misc. materials need for project. Design wall plates and overlays.

Serve as interface with client; responsible for communications with client and subcontractors.

Control system programming (AMX and Crestron) is desired but not required.

Audio DSP programming, setup, testing and calibration of room audio within a variety of size, scale, and scope projects.

Assist Business Development in creating misc. material and labor estimates as well as meeting with existing and potential clients. Approve material and labor estimates.

Meet with vendors / prospective vendors to help evaluate products when needed.

Proficient in CAD software, preferably Stardraw and AutoCAD

Familiarity with engineering/architectural drawings and specification sheets

Ability to interact effectively with Architects, Designers and trades on design implementation.

Computer proficiency (MS Office, CAD, Visio, Crestron, AMX is a must)

Some travel required, subject to change based on current projects

Must be an energetic team player and have a strong work ethic

Great team atmosphere where training is continuously offered

Provide continuing engineer support during installation; coordinate CAD drawings to insure system will perform as represented

Assume ownership of project installation as required.

Candidate must display a professional manner, outstanding attention to detail and have verifiable references.

Writing skills are critical for executive summaries and explaining solutions to customers.

Direct and extensive experience in the design and integration of video walls and control rooms is a plus.

Infocomm recognized certification is a plus; CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I.
