I'm trying to utilize the MPS's ability to use a second encoder for the same conference based on criteria I set (bitrate, best encoder, or best resolution.) After I figured out that you can't utilize the "secondary encoder" feature unless you have "conference self-view" set to "on" (why!?) I ran through some experiments:
I currently have it set to "best bitrate." I connect one system to the conference at 1152k, then a second system at 512k...so far so good, but then I add a third system to the conference at 1152k, and the outgoing video stream to the newly added codec is reduced to that of the system connected at 512k, while the first system I connected at 1152k keeps the higher bandwidth outgoing encoder. Isn't it supposed to function so that systems connecting at the higher bandwidth utilize the higher bandwidth encoder?
