Ok, I'm new to these forums, so if this isn't the place for this question, I understand if someone moves it.
We've been programming custom controls for Polycom for several years, but one of our customers has started to ask about the possibility of using Tandbergs in our product offering.
Polycom allows us to tell when Menus are on the screen (and which menus they are) using a series of "screen" and "popupinfo" messages in the spew from the serial control port.
I've registered for all of the messages and alerts from the Tandberg 6000 we have lying around (currently running F6.3 software) and don't get any information about whether the menu is currently even on the screen or not.
Is there a way to detect the menu via the serial connection? I'm trying to synchronize control menus on an alternate display device with the menus that are actually displayed - so some feedback might be nice.
I suppose I could "infer" the state of the menus based on the last buttons pushed on a remote, but that seems a bit convoluted (and a bit dodgy).
Any help would be appreciated....
