You telnet to your MPS and log in as admin,
then issue the command:
xCommand DefaultValuesSet Level: 3
-----
Command used to reset configurations to default values.
Parameters:
Level: <1..3> Configurations are divided into three different storage
classes. The level parameter denotes that configurations on this level
and all levels below are to be reset.

Thanks, that did the trick.
After I did run the "xCommand DefaultValuesSet Level: 3" command there were no trace of previous config until I entered the option keys. I can´t pin point witch of the option key it was but afterword’s the "Dialing Rules" under Gateway configuration was still intact.
can anybody give an explanation on how this can be? do this mean that the reset was not complete.
Another issue that bothers me is after the upgrade to software J4.2 the MPS popup with warning when you click on Gateway Configuration:
"Note that line #x may have illegal configuration. Reason: from network type is other than H323. To network type must be H323"
This do not cause any problems but it is very irritating having to press OK on twenty popup or so.

The dialing rules are not stored in the config file but rather in a XML file that does not get erased using the above command.

Sounds like you may have some invalid rules defined. Check your rules over again. You shouldn't get any of those popups if your rules are correct.

Can anybody help me with the necessary commands needed to delete the "Dialing Rules" under the "Gateway Configuration"?
I get the messages on the dialing rules where: "From network type" is set to "ISDN" and "To network type" is set to "ISDN". Those rules are necessary to forward calls.
The same configuration that was before the soft ware upgrade.
Thanks for input

Yes, that one looks wrong.
For a gataway call From network... and To network... shouldn't be identical.
It should be FROM H.323 to ISDN or vice versa.
