We're having a peculiar problem on a recent installation, and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

We are using a 3000MXP with a Precision HD camera, connected via (only 2 of the the 3 included extensions) the HD camera extension kit. The power supply is connected to the camera, as well as to the MXP. After about 30 minutes to an hour of use, the camera mysteriously completely powers-down; no power indicator or the like. The power must then be physically disconnected from the camera (rebooting the MXP does nothing to resolve the isse, by the way) the reconnected, which returns all to normal. For about 45 minutes, anyway.

We have been sent a replacement camera, but thought I'd try to get a little more insight before showing-up on-site.

Any ideas or experiences like this? Cheers!

does it do the same thing when plugged in without the extensions? that would help narrow down if the problem is with the extensions, the camera, or the codec.

I'd suspect that there was a heat related problem with a component in the camers.

Unfortunately I had not the time to uninstall the camera, allowing it to be connected directly.
It is sitting atop a 60-odd" plasma, so heat could possibly be an issue.

Thanks for the guidance!
