Greetings,

I am new to video conferencing and I have two Sony PCS-1 systems, I want to make a connection through the Internet via ADSL line.

can you please explain to me every settings I need to enable or disable in the PCS-1 in order to make that happen, and a step-by-step explanation for how to make a call.

I should note that both systems will be connected to a router working in DHCP mode.

Thanks in advance.

I should also note that if anybody knows a good way to use dynamic DNS to make a video conference instead of having a fixed IP address please tell me.

regards.

Please somone help us in this matter. How the cable will be connected between the router and the Camera Unit? Is it RJ45 Crossover cable? Is there an Idiot Guide on how we configure it?

Why use a router??? You have a ADSL modem and the PCS-1 can use the PPPoE dial-in data directly. Fill in the username and password of the ADSL and switch it off and on. While booting the PCS-1 is connecting through the ADSL and will get a IP adress.

For cabeling the router - your router has a quick guide where all information are explainend...
