Help! We use a Polycom VS-4000 to call a Montage video bridge (yeah, I know - ancient!). We have an intermittent problem as follows: we place a call to the bridge for a conference of 15 groups. Once we connect the video bridge immediately drops the other 14 groups. This happens occasionally.

Also, sometimes we can connect but get audio only. Other times everything works perfectly. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just FYI, the Montage is a VideoServer (Ezenia!) OEM. What version of software is it running? Also, I am assuming ISDN?

They assured me it was the final version released in 1999 with all patches. Yes - it is ISDN. Seen this problem before?

The latest should be 6.3 which I believe is the last version of software for that MCU. I have not seen this specifically.

How do you have your conference on the Montage defined? What are the other endpoints involved? Are you saying 15 sites in the conference works at times with the VS 4000 or simply the VS 4000 works at times in any conference?

Make sure all ISDN channels get connected to your Polycom system...

I belive that Montage/Ezenia miss support for ISDN downspeeding. So if you only get 5 channels to a system, when you should connect 6, it will disconnect.

Have you pulled the .HPU, .TRC and .EVT log files to see if there are any clues when the VS4000 connects? Generally, the log files have clues.
