Polycomm View Station 512

Hi,

We have problems with IP calls using an old View Station 512.

The system is connected to a Cisco switch at 10 meg, half duplex. Hard coded on Switch.

We are running calls at 384K and are having problems with Audio breaking up..

Does anyone use these systems? We are using them on an internal WAN between various countries with 512 K of QOS setup for them.

Any suggestions?

The original 128/512/MP/V.35/H.323 Viewstations are only capable of 10/half unfortunately. You need an SP/VS4000/FX or newer to use full duplex.

I would suggest doing a "flash reclaim" on the Viewstation as well as making sure you have the latest software version. I have lost track of the number of times doing one or both of these has cleared up random problems.

Try 128K test calls to check for breakup on those. If the 128K calls are good, there may be congestion somewhere on the network.
