Does the polycom RMX support both HD codecs and SD codecs in the same conference, with the HD codes pass a HD signal to each other, but send a SD signal to the SD codecs. And when the SD codecs takes the switch the signal becomes SD to all?
Or basically another question is if there are SD codecs in a conference with HD codecs does the conference have to be all SD?
Thanks

Hi jonboy,
RMX supports both HD and SD EP. The problem is that Polycom doesn't get full transcoding with the RMX for the momment. So the way to do a conference with HD and SD EP and that RMX send high def. to the HD EP is to fix a different layout to 1x1 in the conf.
In this way, HD EP will receive high res. and SD EP will receive standard def. With a 1x1 layout all EP will receive standard def.
that's the way Plcm RMX works with cp conferences. HD EPs send standard def to the RMX and RMX send high def. to the HD EP.
