HDX8000/7000 Monitor 3 VCR

The admin guide and release notes for the HDX tell two different stories about how the monitor 3 VCR works and can be configured.

I’m looking to have monitor 3 record voice switching between near and far, reading the release notes, the only way to do this is to disable monitor 2 which I don’t want to do. Does anyone know of a work around?

Yes, buy a Sony G50/70 and take the Aux output to your recorder.
These units allow you to have this as VA switched recording port whilst still viewing CP mode on the main monitor which I understand is the only manufacturer which will combine both CP and VA mode symultaniously via the output ports.............
