We have an HDX 8000 that we are demoing and everything works fine now except RECEIVING shared content from an outside source. We believe this may be a setting with our Cisco ASA 5510, but have not found the right combo.

We don't allow inbound calling for security reasons, so this may have something to do with it, but I would think the fix-up would allow the inbound content sharing. All we see is a black screen when someone shares their documents and the like.

Any clues on how to fix or where to start?

What system is the remote site?

Possibly its not a network issue...Polycom system are configured out of the box with the Polycom proprietary People & Content for sending&recieving of pc data.
For interacting with non Polycoms you have to check on H.239 in the systems setup instead of People & Content.
Or - if both systems are Polycoms - possibly 1 system is on P&C and the other on H.239...

I think you might want to check the Cisco site for H.323 issues between H.239 and Network Address Translation. There are known issues.
