Hi guys,

I was wondering if you knew what type of conference starphones could be connected up to a codian MCU to allow for wideband audio?

We have some VTX1000 starphones that are great in p2p wideband audio, but aren't capable of doing wideband via the codian (as far as I know?) so do you guys have any ideas how to acheive this?

Are there different starphones we'd need to purchase?

thanks

I think there is nothing you can do. The VTX is using a special algorithm to get wideband through the analog line. That algorithm is -to my knowledge- supported nowhere else.

If you go to into normal (and bad) 3,4kHz mode (G.711) you should be fine though and be able to connect to any ISDN-based MCU.

To get high quality audio, I would recommend using a videoconference system instead. I know it sounds contrapruductive, but that is the way it is.
